Town Hall Reports New Progress on ReCAL Senior Center Project

READING — Progress continues at Reading's planned Center for Active Living, town officials said this week, as state lawmakers also acted on issues affecting Reading residents. Town Hall issued an update Wednesday on construction at the ReCAL site, while the town's state senator touted Senate passage of a bill to protect health care workers from assault.

Town Hall posted a News Flash update Wednesday on the Reading Center for Active Living (ReCAL) project, telling residents that "exciting progress" is underway at the site and directing them to the town website for further detail on the work.

Town Hall also promoted two new summer initiatives this week: the free Let Grow Independence Challenge, a national program that encourages children to build self-reliance, which is coming to Reading this summer, and an open call for resident-submitted photos of Reading to refresh the town's website and social media pages.
