YOUTH LEAGUES -- Reading Youth Hockey, founded in 1972, listed 312 registered players across 23 program teams this season, backed by 16 sponsors, according to the organization's website. Squads ranging from U8 through U18, including several girls' travel teams, took the ice this weekend against opponents from around Massachusetts. Saturday matchups included Girls U10 2 hosting Billerica Chelmsford U10 at Stoneham Arena, Bantam 1 traveling to Billerica, and Squirt 4 facing Beverly at Endicott.
