YOUTH LEAGUES -- Registration is open for the Reading Youth Lacrosse Association's 2026 Summer Sixes season, according to the organization's website. The program runs two days a week on Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday nights at Reading Memorial High School, with sessions continuing from June 8 through July 30.

Each one-hour session includes about 30 minutes of skills and drills followed by a 30-minute Sixes-style game, a fast-paced 5-on-5 format with a goalie and limited face-offs at the start of each quarter that gives players more touches on the ball, the association said. Organizers noted that space is limited and encouraged families to register as soon as possible, adding that the program is a good way for players interested in trying out for the Select team next year to get extra practice and be seen by coaches.
