The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Reading Police Department's official public log for the period May 11–17, 2026. Monday, May 11, 1:50 a.m. — Suspicious Motor Vehicle: A dark-colored SUV with a suspicious driver was reported in the area of the 28 block of Kieran Road.
Monday, May 11, 7:24 a.m. — Road Closure: Village Street was closed from Haven Street to the 71 block of Village Street.
Monday, May 11, 8:30 a.m. — Road Closure: Grove Street at Forest/Lowell Street was closed with emergency access only; detours were in place.
Monday, May 11, 10:23 a.m. — Weapons Disposal: An armorer picked up weapons for disposal at the 25 block of Bond Street.
Monday, May 11, 2:02 p.m. — Disabled Motor Vehicle: A black Cadillac was found disabled in the roadway at Salem and Manning Streets.
Monday, May 11, 6:14 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car minor crash with no injuries was reported near the 374 block of Main Street.
Monday, May 11, 6:21 p.m. — Suspicious Person: A caller at the 275 block of Salem Street reported a patron inside a business was a known thief.
Monday, May 11, 7:57 p.m. — Parking Complaint: Illegally parked motor vehicles near Memorial Park on Salem Street were obstructing sight lines to traffic.
Monday, May 11, 8:22 p.m. — Bikes/Mini Bikes: An e-bike was reported traveling at high speed at Willow and West Streets.
Monday, May 11, 9:18 p.m. — Suspicious Person: An unknown female was reported sitting on front steps at the 11 block of Veteran's Way.
Tuesday, May 12, 12:11 a.m. — Package Theft: Two juveniles were reported to have stolen a package at the 22 block of Colonial Drive. (See REVIEW — possible juvenile matter.)
Tuesday, May 12, 2:55 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash with no injuries was reported near the 413 block of Main Street.
Tuesday, May 12, 4:13 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A possible road rage incident was reported at Lewis and West Streets.
Tuesday, May 12, 6:05 p.m. — Disturbance: Parties were causing a disturbance near Town Hall on Lowell Street.
Tuesday, May 12, 7:19 p.m. — Parking Complaint: A motor vehicle was blocking a driveway at the 54 block of Pleasant Street.
Tuesday, May 12, 10:43 p.m. — Assault: A female reported a past assault incident involving a coworker at the 87 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Wednesday, May 13, 6:50 a.m. — Commercial Alarm: A general burglar alarm was triggered at a gas station at the 749 block of Main Street.
Wednesday, May 13, 8:01 a.m. — Road Closure: John Street at Union/Pleasant Street was closed with a trench; detours were in place.
Wednesday, May 13, 8:29 a.m. — Road Closure: Grove Street at Lowell Street was closed with limited access; detours were in place.
Wednesday, May 13, 1:32 p.m. — Fraud: An email scam resulted in a monetary loss of $965 at the 82 block of Howard Street.
Wednesday, May 13, 2:03 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash with no injuries was reported near the 100 block of Main Street.
Wednesday, May 13, 3:45 p.m. — Lost Property: A male reported a lost trailer plate at the 64 block of Glenmere Circle.
Wednesday, May 13, 4:08 p.m. — No Water: A caller at the 38 block of John Street reported no water service at the residence.
Wednesday, May 13, 7:33 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Theft: A vehicle was reported stolen from the depot area at High and Haven Streets.
Wednesday, May 13, 7:55 p.m. — Residential Alarm: A homeowner reported a side-door alarm at the 173 block of Lowell Street.
Wednesday, May 13, 11:34 p.m. — Disabled Motor Vehicle: An officer was flagged down for a possibly disabled motor vehicle at Main Street and Pinevale Avenue.
Thursday, May 14, 8:01 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Hit and Run: A motor vehicle struck a column in a drive-through at the 323 block of Main Street and fled.
Thursday, May 14, 9:09 a.m. — Wire Down: A trash truck knocked down a wire across the roadway at the 18 block of Family Circle.
Thursday, May 14, 1:48 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: North Reading police reported an erratic operator in the area of Haverhill Street and Batchelder Road.
Thursday, May 14, 2:49 p.m. — Fraud: A male reported a possible business loan scam at the 603 block of Main Street.
Thursday, May 14, 7:25 p.m. — Credit Card Fraud: A female reported a fraudulent charge on her credit card at the 25 block of Cumberland Road.
Friday, May 15, 5:01 a.m. — Flooding: A resident at the 36 block of Chestnut Road reported water flooding into their basement.
Friday, May 15, 6:18 a.m. — Unwanted Guest: A caller at the 206 block of Main Street reported a person who would not leave the residence.
Friday, May 15, 8:26 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Lockout: A 4-year-old child was locked inside a motor vehicle at the 57 block of Edgemont Avenue.
Friday, May 15, 8:20 a.m. — Road Closure: Woburn Street at High Street was closed; detours were in place.
Friday, May 15, 8:30 a.m. — Road Closure: Grove Street at Lowell Street was closed with limited access.
Friday, May 15, 9:03 a.m. — Suspicious Person: A male was reported taking pictures outside a building at the 475 block of Main Street.
Friday, May 15, 9:56 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash (Past): A female reported a motor vehicle crash from the previous night at Main and South Streets.
Friday, May 15, 10:23 a.m. — Arrest: A motor vehicle stop at the 1435 block of Main Street resulted in an arrest on an outstanding warrant. No name, age, or town of residence was provided in the log.
Friday, May 15, 10:59 a.m. — Fraud (Attempted): A resident at the 37 block of Belmont Street reported a possible fraud attempt.
Friday, May 15, 2:22 p.m. — Larceny (Attempted): A business owner at the 34 block of Salem Street reported that a vendor had fraudulently placed an order.
Friday, May 15, 3:13 p.m. — Disturbance: Youths were reported possibly fighting outside a business at the 24 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Friday, May 15, 9:49 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: An erratic operator in a small black sedan was reported at Batchelder Road and Haverhill Street.
Friday, May 15, 10:24 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: An erratic operator was reported at Main and Salem Streets.
Saturday, May 16, 11:48 a.m. — Suspicious Person: A male was reported swearing at passing motor vehicles at Lowell and Grove Streets.
Saturday, May 16, 7:09 p.m. — Hazard: A telephone pole and tree were reported smoking and sparking at the 22 block of Pasture Road.
Saturday, May 16, 9:44 p.m. — Disturbance: A resident at the 31 block of Thomas Drive reported someone pounding on their door and fleeing.
Saturday, May 16, 10:14 p.m. — Disturbance — Possible Gunshots: A caller at Main Street and Pinevale Avenue reported hearing gunshots in the area.
Sunday, May 17, 12:03 p.m. — Unwanted Guest: A property manager at the 279 block of Salem Street reported solicitors in front of the store.
Sunday, May 17, 7:02 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Hit and Run: A business owner at the 26 block of Walkers Brook Drive reported a hit-and-run crash.
Sunday, May 17, 7:28 p.m. — Hazard: A crossing barrier at New Crossing Road and the railroad tracks was shaking and appeared to be malfunctioning.
Sunday, May 17, 8:00 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: An erratic operator was reported at Willow and Lowell Streets.
Sunday, May 17, 8:13 p.m. — Suspicious Person / Possible Indecent Exposure: An officer was flagged down regarding a possible indecent exposure incident at Salem Street and the rotary.
Sunday, May 17, 9:39 p.m. — Disturbance — Possible Gunshots: A female at the 128 block of Vine Street reported loud banging noises and possible gunshots.
Sunday, May 17, 10:36 p.m. — Disturbance / House Party: A loud backyard house party was reported at the 18 block of Aurele Circle.
