The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Reading Police Department's official public log for the period June 8–14, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Monday, June 8, 8:48 a.m. — Parking Complaint: A past incident involving a male yelling at a female over a parking spot was reported at an apartment building on the 70 block of Woburn Street.
Monday, June 8, 11:55 a.m. — Road Closure: Oak Street at Summer Avenue was closed due to a trench in the roadway near the 20 block of Oak Street.
Monday, June 8, 12:14 p.m. — Lost Property: A caller reported a lost bag near the 100 block of Main Street.
Monday, June 8, 2:47 p.m. — Hazard: An oil truck was reported leaking an unknown fluid at Ash and Main Streets.
Monday, June 8, 3:36 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A road rage incident was reported at the McDonald's restaurant on the 400 block of Main Street; a vehicle reportedly attempted to cut off another driver in the drive-through.
Monday, June 8, 4:01 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: Vehicles reported traveling the wrong way on a one-way section of Haven Street near Parker Street.
Tuesday, June 9, 2:11 a.m. — Residential Alarm: A duress signal was received from an apartment building on the 30 block of Taylor Drive (Johnson Woods); no contact was made.
Tuesday, June 9, 7:02 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash with no injuries was reported at Washington and Main Streets.
Tuesday, June 9, 9:44 a.m. — Hazard: A tree limb was down in the road on the 40 block of Lewis Street.
Tuesday, June 9, 11:09 a.m. — Animal Call: A past dog bite was reported; a male came to the station to report the incident near the 20 block of Kylie Drive.
Tuesday, June 9, 12:41 p.m. — Fire Response: Cooking-related smoke was reported in the basement of Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street.
Tuesday, June 9, 2:18 p.m. — Animal Call: A dog was reported tied up in a yard at the 100 block of Salem Street for more than three hours.
Tuesday, June 9, 3:12 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash with no injuries was reported at Green and Ash Streets.
Tuesday, June 9, 4:32 p.m. — Disturbance: Loud, obscene music was reported at a basketball court near Bancroft Avenue and the tennis courts.
Tuesday, June 9, 6:02 p.m. — Lost Property: A female reported a lost wallet near Main and Haven Streets.
Tuesday, June 9, 11:12 p.m. — Commercial Alarm: An officer passing the Longhorn Steakhouse on the 30 block of Walkers Brook Drive heard an alarm sounding.
Wednesday, June 10, 7:38 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Disabled: A Department of Public Works truck broke down in the middle of Woburn Street at Summer Avenue.
Wednesday, June 10, 8:46 a.m. — Hazard: A refrigerator with doors still attached was left on the curb on the 2 block of Cedar Street.
Wednesday, June 10, 9:39 a.m. — Parking Complaint: A large truck parked near West Street and Johnson Woods Drive was impeding traffic.
Wednesday, June 10, 10:28 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A boat on a trailer had been left on the roadway on Fairmount Road near Hopkins Lane for several days.
Wednesday, June 10, 12:10 p.m. — Harassment: A male reported being harassed by a neighbor's boyfriend on the 20 block of Waverly Road.
Wednesday, June 10, 7:01 p.m. — Hazard: A clogged sewer cleanout was reported on the 35 block of Park Avenue, with a risk of basement flooding.
Wednesday, June 10, 8:05 p.m. — Traffic Hazard: A train gate was found partially lowered with lights flashing at New Crossing Road and the railroad tracks.
Wednesday, June 10, 8:25 p.m. — Disturbance: A group of youths was reported throwing items around the parking lot at the 90 block of General Way.
Thursday, June 11, 10:40 a.m. — Animal Call: A snapping turtle was found caught in a fence at Hunt Memorial Field, 200 Pleasant Street.
Thursday, June 11, 11:43 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash with no injuries was reported at Cumberland Farms on the 290 block of Salem Street.
Thursday, June 11, 1:38 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor crash with no injuries was reported at Sullivan Tire on the 100 block of Main Street.
Thursday, June 11, 2:08 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Hit and Run: An employee reported a hit-and-run at Golf Galaxy on the 40 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Thursday, June 11, 2:22 p.m. — Identity Theft: A resident came to the station to report identity theft with monetary loss; the incident was tied to an address on the 10 block of Linnea Lane.
Thursday, June 11, 6:47 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor two-car crash with no injuries was reported in the parking lot of Flowers at Dandilyons on the 1300 block of Main Street.
Friday, June 12, 7:38 a.m. — Road Closure: Washington Street at High Street was closed with detours in place.
Friday, June 12, 7:53 a.m. — Larceny: An Amazon package was reported stolen by an Uber Eats driver at the 350 block of Charles Street.
Friday, June 12, 9:37 a.m. — Found Property: A backpack was found near a telephone pole at Eaton Street and Smith Avenue.
Friday, June 12, 10:10 a.m. — Animal Welfare: A dog was reported left inside a blue Hyundai Elantra in the Market Basket parking lot on the 30 block of General Way.
Friday, June 12, 11:46 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A cement truck was reported dumping cement in the roadway at Main and Salem Streets.
Friday, June 12, 12:47 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash — Town Vehicle: A 2018 black Land Rover backed into a police cruiser at Planet Fitness on the 270 block of Salem Street.
Friday, June 12, 12:56 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A crash with no injuries was reported in the CVS parking lot on the 650 block of Main Street.
Friday, June 12, 3:30 p.m. — Trespass: A group of youths previously trespassed inside the Starbucks on the 20 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Friday, June 12, 8:52 p.m. — Suspicious Person: Staff at the Burger King on the 350 block of Main Street reported a naked male in the restroom; fire department also responded for a possible mental health situation.
Friday, June 12, 10:47 p.m. — Disturbance: A female reported food thrown at her inside the McDonald's restaurant on the 400 block of Main Street.
Friday, June 12, 10:52 p.m. — Commercial Alarm: A glass-break and front-door motion alarm was received from a business on the 170 block of Main Street.
Saturday, June 13, 5:54 a.m. — Commercial Alarm: A burglar alarm triggered at the side door of Perfecto's Cafe on the 280 block of Main Street; no contact was made.
Saturday, June 13, 10:17 a.m. — Harassment: Harassing messages were reported at a residence on the 60 block of Springvale Road.
Saturday, June 13, 1:04 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash with no injuries was reported at Main and South Streets.
Saturday, June 13, 1:48 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash with no injuries was reported at Haverhill Street and Timothy Place.
Saturday, June 13, 2:19 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Disabled: A red Ford 500 was disabled and leaking fuel on Franklin Street near Partridge Road.
Saturday, June 13, 3:21 p.m. — Traffic Hazard: A pedestrian "Walk" signal was knocked off a pole onto the sidewalk at Main and Salem Streets.
Saturday, June 13, 3:58 p.m. — Fire Response: A male was reported burning yard waste with a blowtorch at Forest Street and Grove Street.
Saturday, June 13, 4:22 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A dog was reported left inside a grey Volkswagen Atlas in the Home Depot parking lot on the 60 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Saturday, June 13, 4:27–4:42 p.m. — Mulch Fires: Possible or confirmed mulch fires were reported at the Archstone Circle complex and at Chipotle on the 40 block of Walkers Brook Drive; fire department responded to both.
Saturday, June 13, 5:52 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Hit and Run: A crash with no injuries was reported at Main and Pleasant Streets.
Saturday, June 13, 6:49 p.m. — Youth Safety: A youth was reported possibly on the train tracks near the bridge on the 30–50 block of Mineral Street.
Saturday, June 13, 8:02 p.m. — Hazard: An odor of gas was reported outside near Summer Avenue and Temple Street.
Saturday, June 13, 9:41 p.m. — Smoke Investigation: Smoke of unknown origin was reported in the area of Lowell Street and Willow Street.
Saturday, June 13, 10:27 p.m. — Suspicious Person: A male was reported walking out into traffic near a group home on the 130 block of Haverhill Street.
Saturday, June 13, 11:43 p.m. — Disturbance: A large, loud house party was reported on the 160 block of West Street.
Sunday, June 14, 7:57 a.m. — Breaking and Entering — Business: The owner of the Mobil on the Run station on the 170 block of Main Street requested to speak with an officer regarding a break-in. (See also commercial alarm, Friday, June 12, 10:52 p.m.)
Sunday, June 14, 8:36 a.m. — Breaking and Entering — Vehicles: Multiple vehicles on Cross Street near Shackford Road were entered overnight; nothing was reported taken.
Sunday, June 14, 9:01 a.m. — Larceny from Motor Vehicle: Items were taken from multiple vehicles on Cross Street near Shackford Road overnight.
Sunday, June 14, 12:42 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A male in a red Honda Pilot was reported following a female to her home near Fairchild Drive and Main Street.
Sunday, June 14, 1:07–2:02 p.m. — Mulch Fires: Mulch fires were reported at Washington Street and High Street on two separate calls; fire department responded.
Sunday, June 14, 4:32 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A vehicle struck two parked vehicles in a parking lot on the 620 block of Main Street; no injuries reported.
