The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Reading Police Department's official public log for the period Feb. 16–22, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Monday, Feb. 16, 8:39 a.m. — Lost and Found: A purse was found in the roadway in the area of the 200 block of Washington Street and turned in to police.
Monday, Feb. 16, 10:20 a.m. — Alarm — Residential: A panic alarm was activated at a residence on the 60 block of Colburn Road; contact was made with the occupant.
Monday, Feb. 16, 1:08 p.m. — Suspicious Person: A woman reported a suspicious male at a location on the 10 block of Fairmount Road.
Monday, Feb. 16, 3:21 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A person came to the station to report a recent motor vehicle crash near the 80 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Monday, Feb. 16, 4:07 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash — Investigated: A tractor-trailer struck a traffic light pole near the 800 block of Main Street; Massachusetts State Police responded.
Monday, Feb. 16, 4:37 p.m. — Property Damage: An outside faucet was broken off a residence on Line Road, causing water to enter the building.
Monday, Feb. 16, 5:24 p.m. — Medical Emergency: Fire responded to the 100 block of Haverhill Street for a lift-assist; no injuries reported.
Monday, Feb. 16, 7:53 p.m. — Complaint Application Filed: A motor vehicle stop in the area of the 800 block of Main Street resulted in a complaint application being filed in connection with a suspended license.
Monday, Feb. 16, 8:15 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: Erratic vehicle operation was reported near the 500 block of Haverhill Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 7:17 a.m. — Road Closure: Middlesex Avenue between Cape Cod Avenue and Deering Street was closed. The closure continued through at least Friday, Feb. 20, with varying segments of Middlesex Avenue blocked each day.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 8:32 a.m. — Medical Emergency: Fire responded to a medical call at a facility on the 1300 block of Main Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 9:05 a.m. — Parking Complaint: A non-electric vehicle was reported to have occupied an electric-vehicle charging space at Haven Junction for several days.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 10:19 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash — Investigated: A two-car crash with no injuries occurred at Main Street and Franklin Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 1:56 p.m. — Lost and Found: A suspicious backpack was found behind a tree near the 60 block of Willow Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2:22 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash — Investigated: A two-car crash with no injuries occurred near the 100 block of Salem Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 3:00 p.m. — Harassment: A man came to the station to report a harassing note left on his vehicle, near the 20 block of Green Street.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 4:57 p.m. — Outstanding Warrants: Officers responded to the 200 block of Washington Street to serve outstanding warrants.
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 6:54 a.m. — Building Check: Officers checked a residence on the 60 block of Prescott Street after an elderly woman reported hearing noises in her attic.
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 11:10 a.m. — Suspicious Motor Vehicle: An unwanted vehicle was reported to have been sitting in a driveway on the 0 block of Beaver Road.
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 11:21 a.m. — Lost and Found: A wallet was turned in to the station; it had been found near the 35 block of Lincoln Street.
Wednesday, Feb. 18, 11:37 a.m. — Suspicious Motor Vehicle: A suspicious white Ford pickup with tinted windows was reported in a parking lot near the 200 block of Main Street.
