Monday, April 6, 8:28 a.m. — Parking Complaint: Multiple trailers were reported blocking a lane on the 24 block of Minot Street.
Monday, April 6, 8:31 a.m. — Road Closure: Green Street was closed between Beech Street and John Street.
Monday, April 6, 9:01 a.m. — Fire Alarm: A residential fire alarm activated on the 31 block of Susan Drive; no smoke or fire was found.
Monday, April 6, 11:24 a.m. — Traffic Hazard: Multiple calls reported train gates stuck in the down position at Main Street and the railroad tracks.
Monday, April 6, 11:29 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor crash was reported at the 284 block of Lowell Street; no injuries.
Monday, April 6, 14:30 p.m. — Fraud/Identity Theft: A resident at the 625 block of Main Street reported identity theft.
Monday, April 6, 14:37 p.m. — Disturbance: Youths were reported arguing inside a building on the 36 block of Arthur B. Lord Drive (YMCA).
Monday, April 6, 17:15 p.m. — Larceny/Shoplifting: A manager at Walgreens on the 15 block of Bolton Street reported a past shoplifting incident.
Tuesday, April 7, 8:00 a.m. — Suspicious Person: A male was found sleeping in the vestibule of Reading Co-Op Bank on the 180 block of Haven Street; the bank sought a trespass order.
Tuesday, April 7, 8:41 a.m. — Road Closure: Grove Street at Lowell Street was closed with limited access.
Tuesday, April 7, 9:10 a.m. — Fire/Electrical: A transmitted fire box was struck at the 55 block of Walkers Brook Drive for a reported burning electrical smell.
Tuesday, April 7, 9:53 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Theft: A loaner car that was never returned to the Honda dealership on the 88 block of Walkers Brook Drive was reported stolen.
Tuesday, April 7, 12:05 p.m. — Larceny: A resident at Augustus Court reported missing packages.
Tuesday, April 7, 12:09 p.m. — Larceny: An employee at Goodhearts on the 642 block of Main Street reported missing packages.
Tuesday, April 7, 14:12 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: Erratic operation was reported involving a white van at Main Street and Salem Street.
Tuesday, April 7, 14:33 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car minor crash was reported at the Haverhill Street rotary; no injuries.
Tuesday, April 7, 15:56 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor two-car crash was reported at the Salem Street rotary; no injuries.
Tuesday, April 7, 16:48 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A passerby flagged down a unit to report erratic motor vehicle operation at Irving Street and Main Street.
Tuesday, April 7, 21:10 p.m. — Suspicious Person: A female reported being harassed while parked in her vehicle on the 25 block of Lincoln Street.
Tuesday, April 7, 22:04 p.m. — Suspicious Person: A suspicious person was reported at the front door of Coolidge Middle School on the 89 block of Birch Meadow Drive.
Wednesday, April 8, 7:33 a.m. — Road Closure: Green Street from Beech Street to John Street was closed.
Wednesday, April 8, 8:41 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash was reported at Hartshorn Street and Lowell Street; no injuries.
Wednesday, April 8, 8:42 a.m. — Road Closure: John Street at Salem/Union Street was closed with detours in place.
Wednesday, April 8, 9:57 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A pedestrian signal at Grove Street and Lowell Street was struck by a 2024 red Volvo VHD.
Wednesday, April 8, 10:18 a.m. — Hazard: Asphalt was reported spilled onto the roadway at Main Street near Pearl/Mill Street.
Wednesday, April 8, 13:24 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A possible road rage incident was reported in the area of Walkers Brook Drive, occurring in Wakefield; the call was referred accordingly.
Wednesday, April 8, 16:34 p.m. — Missing Person: The manager of a group home on the 1087 block of Main Street reported a missing adult.
Wednesday, April 8, 16:34 p.m. — Fire/Oven: An oven fire at the 10 block of Colburn Road had been extinguished prior to fire department arrival; firefighters responded to confirm.
Wednesday, April 8, 17:22 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A multiple-zone commercial burglar alarm activated at Salem Five bank on the 8 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Wednesday, April 8, 21:18 p.m. — Animal Call: A male reported his dog had run away from the 234 block of Haverhill Street.
Wednesday, April 8, 23:57 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: An office door burglar alarm activated at Chili's Restaurant on the 70 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Thursday, April 9, 8:26 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: Erratic operation was reported involving a white Lexus with front-end damage at Franklin Street and Main Street.
Thursday, April 9, 13:30 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A male directed angry comments at a parking enforcement officer at High Street near the depot parking area.
Thursday, April 9, 14:18 p.m. — Larceny/Shoplifting: A manager at Stop & Shop on the 25 block of Walkers Brook Drive reported a past shoplifting and requested a trespass order.
Thursday, April 9, 14:48 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Hit and Run: A hit-and-run was reported at the 49 block of High Street involving a red Ford pickup.
Thursday, April 9, 16:10 p.m. — Disturbance: Youths were reported sliding down stair rails at Post 1917 Steakhouse on the 136 block of Haven Street.
Thursday, April 9, 16:58 p.m. — Unwanted Guest: A group of bagpipers was reported causing a disturbance at the library on the 64 block of Middlesex Avenue.
Thursday, April 9, 17:18 p.m. — Disturbance: A large group of youths on bicycles was reported disrupting the drive-through at McDonald's on the 413 block of Main Street.
Thursday, April 9, 17:52 p.m. — Larceny/Shoplifting: Shoplifting was reported at Stop & Shop on the 25 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Thursday, April 9, 18:28 p.m. — Complaint: A resident on the 1261 block of Main Street reported receiving suspicious packages at their home and workplace.
Thursday, April 9, 18:54 p.m. — Larceny: A female on the 10 block of Barbara Lane reported a lost or stolen wallet.
Friday, April 10, 8:36 a.m. — Road Closure: Grove Street was closed from Lowell Street to Mark Avenue.
Friday, April 10, 10:29 a.m. — Fraud/Attempted: A female on the 51 block of Prospect Street attempted to make a wire transfer in what police described as a possible scam.
Friday, April 10, 11:15 a.m. — Unwanted Guest: A homeless male was found to have set up a campsite at the First Congregational Church on the 25 block of Woburn Street.
Friday, April 10, 13:52 p.m. — Fraud/Identity Theft: A party at the 143 block of Washington Street reported a scam conducted through PayPal.
Friday, April 10, 14:01 p.m. — Disturbance: A group of three youths was reported causing a disturbance inside Starbucks on the 24 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Friday, April 10, 15:01 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash was reported at the Haverhill Street rotary; no injuries.
Friday, April 10, 15:48 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A three-car crash was reported at Main Street and Birch Meadow Drive; no injuries.
Friday, April 10, 20:20 p.m. — Open Door/Residence: A passerby reported an open door at a residence on the 40 block of Bancroft Avenue.
Friday, April 10, 21:14 p.m. — Disturbance: Youths were reported playing "ding-dong-ditch" on the 3 block of Strawberry Hill Lane.
Friday, April 10, 21:32 p.m. — Burglar Alarm: A motion alarm activated in the ATM room at a business on the 31 block of Harnden Street.
Saturday, April 11, 1:24 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Complaint: A group of motorcycles was reported being loud and racing on Haven Street near High Street.
Saturday, April 11, 6:08 a.m. — Trespass: An officer responded to Northern Bank & Trust on the 600 block of Main Street regarding a homeless male on the property.
Saturday, April 11, 8:44 a.m. — Burglar Alarm: An audible residential burglar alarm was reported sounding on Varney Circle near Haverhill Street.
Saturday, April 11, 11:59 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor crash in the Market Basket parking lot on the 30 block of General Way was reported; a car door struck another vehicle.
Saturday, April 11, 12:24 p.m. — Fraud/Identity Theft: A female reported identity theft at the 2 block of Archstone Circle.
Saturday, April 11, 15:44 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A minor crash was reported at the Haverhill Street rotary; no injuries.
Saturday, April 11, 15:46 p.m. — Hazard: A loose telephone pole pulled wires from a house on the 214 block of Forest Street.
Saturday, April 11, 16:34 p.m. — Gas Odor: Fire crews responded to an inside odor of gas on the 39 block of Taylor Drive.
Saturday, April 11, 19:13 p.m. — Disturbance: An ongoing complaint of youths banging on a door was reported on the 3 block of Strawberry Hill Lane.
Saturday, April 11, 19:53 p.m. — Fire: A fence fire close to a house was reported on the 65 block of Minot Street; fire crews responded.
Sunday, April 12, 8:31 a.m. — Complaint: A caller reported construction work occurring on a Sunday on the 57 block of Pearl Street.
Sunday, April 12, 8:32 a.m. — Breaking and Entering: A possible no-force breaking and entering into a residence was reported on the 603 block of Pearl Street, said to have occurred the previous night.
Sunday, April 12, 9:44 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Hit and Run: A caller on the 18 block of Shady Hill Lane reported a parked vehicle was struck and the other driver fled.
Sunday, April 12, 11:18 a.m. — Information: A caller reported being in possession of a laptop belonging to the Reading Public Library on the 64 block of Middlesex Avenue.
Sunday, April 12, 11:36 a.m. — Fire/Uncontrolled Burn: An uncontrolled burn in a yard was reported on the 636 block of Haverhill Street; fire crews responded.
Sunday, April 12, 12:11 p.m. — Larceny/Shoplifting: Shoplifting was reported at Stop & Shop on the 25 block of Walkers Brook Drive.
Sunday, April 12, 16:50 p.m. — Fraud/Attempted: A female at the 30 block of Taylor Drive reported identity theft.
Sunday, April 12, 19:11 p.m. — Larceny/Shoplifting: Loss prevention at Stop & Shop on the 25 block of Walkers Brook Drive reported an active shoplifting incident.
